Biography
Born in France, Cécile Glémot began studying trumpet at the age of seven. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (France), and a Master’s degree from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, Germany, studying with Professor Reinhold Friedrich.
In 2014, she was laureate of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker, mentored by Tamás Velenczei. During her two years with the orchestra, she played regularly under the direction of conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Andris Nelson, Alan Gilbert, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Harding and Daniele Gatti.
Cécile is regularly invited to perform with orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Opéra de Paris, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Göteborgs Symfoniker, Die Deutsche Oper Berlin and many others.
