Single ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.

By proceeding with a purchase, you consent to these Terms and Conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person you consent on the behalf of that person as their agent.

1. In order for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to process your ticket request, we collect, hold and use your personal information. If you do not provide us with the information we request, we may be unable to process your ticket request.
2. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may also collect and use your personal information to provide you with information about concerts, activities and events which may be of interest to you or to request your support for the Orchestra. You may opt out of receiving our communications at any time by using the opt out provided in each communication, or by contacting us on (02) 8215 4600 or at privacy@sydneysymphony.com.
3. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may disclose your personal information to third parties such as venue managers, ticketing agencies, mailing houses, financial institutions, insurers, IT & other service providers, business partners, government & other related authorities. The third parties to which we disclose personal information may have their facilities located in other countries.
4. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra Privacy Policy describes how you can access your personal information or lodge a complaint about privacy. Please read our Privacy Policy.
5. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and its venue manager reserve the right of admission.
6. A booking fee may be applicable to transactions.
7. All sales are non-refundable except in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling as iterated in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice for Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. Ticket exchanges are available for most Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances, up to 48 hours before your performance date.
8. Professional cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the venue. Mobile phones, pagers and similar equipment must be turned to silent before entry into the venue's auditorium.
9. Tickets are valid only when purchased from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra or an authorised agent.
10. Lost or forgotten tickets will only be replaced where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is satisfied that such tickets have been purchased by you in accordance with these terms and conditions, and where proof of purchase is available.
11. Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artists, venue, and seating arrangements.
12. Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
13. Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances may be unsuitable for children under Twelve (12) years of age.
14. Children aged 0-23 months at the time of a performance may be seated on a parent’s lap free of charge. All children occupying a seat, or aged 2 years must hold a valid ticket.
15. Patrons, including children, who disrupt a performance may be asked to leave the venue.
16. Patrons arriving late will not be able to be admitted into the venue's auditorium until there is a suitable break in the performance.
17. Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to record, broadcast and simulcast any performance.
18. If you are photographed, filmed or taped whilst attending a Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance, you consent to Sydney Symphony Orchestra or third parties appointed by Sydney Symphony Orchestra photographing, filming and taping you. Sydney Symphony Orchestra or third parties appointed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use.
19. The layout of Sydney Symphony Orchestra venues may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any person accompanying you.
20. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not liable to you for any claims, damages, compensation, losses or expenses as a result of a Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance being cancelled, postponed or changed.
21. To the extent permitted by the law, you release the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your attendance at a venue, how so ever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
22. You agree to compensate the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for any damage, loss, liability or injury the Sydney Symphony Orchestra may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at a venue.
23. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own property during attendance at a Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert or event.
24. From time to time, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra may make offers in relation to services available to ticket holders. These offers are subject to change without notice. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not responsible for the performance of third parties in relation to any offer or service.
25. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may choose not to enforce some or all of these Terms and Conditions, on a case by case basis. This does not mean that the Sydney Symphony Orchestra waives its right to enforce some or all of these Terms and Conditions as it sees fit. If any of these Terms and Conditions cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will survive.
26. Under 35 tickets are available to people aged 35 years or under on 1 January 2025. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Under 35 tickets are available in B-C Reserve seating areas only.
27. Concession tickets are available to current holders of means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans' Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students. Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be posted until such proof is supplied. Discount is applicable in A-C reserves only.
28. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will continue to apply NSW Public Health Orders as they relate to ticketing and seating arrangements.

Subscription Packs to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances are subject to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Terms and Conditions and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.

Renewing Subscribers

• To be eligible to renew your subscription, you must submit your renewal order by Friday 8 November 2024.
• If we cannot accommodate your request, we will contact you to discuss other options. You can:
  • Renew your current Series Pack with no changes, or
  • Request a change to your current Series Pack , e.g. the number of seat, the seating reserve you require or series (subject to availability), or
  • Transfer your subscription to another patron if you personally authorise us to do so. Simply contact the Customer Service Team before Friday 8 November 2024.

Payment Options

• Payments by credit card, cheque, or cash (cash should not be sent via Postage) must accompany your booking.
• Cash payments can be made in person at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Offices: Level 17, 56 Pitt St Sydney, until 20 December 2024.
• If you nominate an instalment payment, your first deposit will be taken within 2 business days after order. Final payment will be deducted on 10 January 2025.

Processing your subscription

Where we are unable to fulfil your booking request, you will be placed on a waitlist, without charge, and will be contacted should seats become available.

Under 35 Subscriptions

• Under 35 subscriptions are available to people aged 35 years or under on 1 January 2025. You will be seated in the best available seating at the time of purchase. Under 35 Subscription pricing is only available for Series Packs (not available for Create Your Own Packs).

Concessions

• Concession subscriptions are available on selected packs to current holders of certain means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans’ Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students.
• Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be sent until such proof is supplied.

Change of Artist or Program

• The Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artist, venue, and seating arrangements, and to vary prices.

Refunds

• Refunds are not available, except as specified in the Entertainment Code of Fair Practise of Live Entertainment in Australia. The 20% deposit on subscription bookings is not refundable.

Additional Concerts

Subscribers are entitled to 15% discount on extra single tickets to 2025 Season concerts, until 8 November 2024. At such time the discount will revert to a 10% discount. Discount applies to Premium to C Reserve seats only. The subscriber discount does not apply to Sydney Symphony Orchestra Presents concerts.

15% discount on Additional 2025 Concerts
Save 15% on Single ticket regular prices when you add any additional 2025 concerts to your Series Pack:

• Discount on additional performances only applies to holders of a 2025 Season Pack.
• Discount only applies at time of purchase.
• Discount of 15% only applies to Full and Concession single ticket prices.
• Discount available until 8 November 2024.
• Discount only applies to Premium–C reserves.
• Discount only applies to select 2025 performances

New Second Pack Offer
Subscribers can access a 25% discount on any new additional 2025 Series Pack when renewing or purchasing any 2025 Pack:

• Discount applies when a 2025 Series Pack of a different type is purchased.
• Discounted Packs are purchased in addition to the purchased Series and/or Create Your Own Packs.
• Discount not applicable to additional Create Your Own Packs.
• Discount only applies to Premium–D reserves.
• Discount only applies to Subscription prices of Full and Concession. Not to Youth (Under 35s).

Sunday Afternoon Symphony pack purchases

• Discount applies to returning Family offer pack holders of a 2024 Sunday Afternoon Series Pack.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s “Ticket Exchange Service” variously called “Exchange Service” or “Exchange” or “Exchanges” is subject to Terms and Conditions. These apply to all purchases relating to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s 2025 Season concerts and presentations.

Definitions:

• Upgrade:  the change to a ticket that is of a higher reserve and/or price than the original ticket.
• Downgrade: the change to a ticket that is either a lower reserve and/or a less expensive concert in comparison to the original purchases concert reserve and/or price.
• Series Pack: a Series Pack subscription – performances are selected and bundled in a pack, by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
• Renewing Subscriber: a customer who has purchased a Sydney Symphony Orchestra Pack or Create Your Own Pack for the 2024 Season concerts and 2025 Season concerts.
• Subscriber: a customer who has purchased a Sydney Symphony Orchestra Series Pack or Create Your Own Pack for the 2025 Season concerts.
• Single Ticket Customer: a customer who has purchased individual Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert tickets not within a Series or Create Your Own Pack.

General Terms and Conditions

1. The Ticket Exchange Service is available to tickets purchased as part of a “Series Pack” or a “Create Your Own Pack” (CYO Pack) and to Add-ons purchased simultaneously with a Pack order.
2. The Exchange Service is also available to you if you are not a current Sydney Symphony Orchestra subscriber (a “Single Ticket Customer”). This will be entirely at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s discretion and different blackout dates and restrictions may apply in your case. If you are a Single Ticket Customer, you will be charged a $10 exchange fee, per ticket, in addition to any Upgrade Costs and Transaction Fees.
3. The Exchange Service will generally not be available for presentations where the Sydney Symphony is not the sole presenter or where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra are presenting or participating in a performance by arrangement with another promoter or producer.
4. Exchanges are subject to availability. Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply.
5. The Exchange Service is only available to you if the Sydney Symphony Orchestra has recorded you as the original purchaser. Where a ticket has been resold or gifted or ownership transferred by any other means (where not agreed by us) or where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra does not have a record of you as the original purchaser or nominated “co-subscriber”, or where the ticket has been bought on your behalf, this Service will not be available.
6. The Exchange Service is also subject to a Fair Use Policy (see below).
7. The Exchange Service is not required under the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice or Australian Consumer Laws (See below).

How it works

1. You must contact the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Box Office to arrange an Exchange. Exchange requests need to be received at least 48 hours (Not Public Holidays) before the performance for which for which the tickets were originally issued. Exchange requests cannot be guaranteed after this time, or after the performance, for which your ticket was originally issued, has taken place.
2. You can only arrange an Exchange through the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Box Office during business hours (9am–4pm). Exchanges cannot generally be arranged at performance venues.
3. An Exchange fee of $10 per ticket is applicable to Single Ticket Customers. Exchange Fees do not apply to Subscribers.
4. ‘Upgrade Costs’ may apply when you transfer your ticket to a more expensive Seating Reserve or a concert in a higher Price Category.
5. Tickets that are not (fully) paid cannot be exchanged. Full payment of a ticket and/or subscription is required before an exchange request is accepted.
6. You may be required to pay any applicable upgrade costs at the time you request an Exchange. Exchanges are not considered finalised until payment is received.
7. The exchange fee is not applicable to 2025 Subscription Youth Under 35 tickets. A $5.00 fee per order is applicable to Single Ticket Customers eligible to Under 35 tickets.
8. 2025 Youth Under 35 Subscriber exchanged tickets must be selected within the same reserve or lower
9. 2025 subscribers who previously held a 2024 subscription, will have their exchange and performance upgrade costs waivered. Exchanged tickets must be selected within the same reserve or lower. Higher reserves will incur a fee. Excluded concerts:
   1. Daniil Trifonov performs Rachmaninov 28 & 29 March 2025
   2. Schubert’s Swan Songs 30 March 2025
   3. Lang Lang and the Sydney Symphony 18 June 2025
   4. Lang Lang in Recital 22 June 2025
   5. Simone Young conducts Siegfried 23 & 16 November 2025
10. As a current 2025 Subscriber you may access an unlimited number of Exchanges between concerts conducted between January and December in the 2025 Season only, for which the original ticket was purchased. Ticket Exchanges for concerts from one subscription season to another subscription season (i.e. across calendar years) are not available.
11. As a current 2025 Subscriber, when you exchange a ticket for a ticket of a lower price, and the difference between the original value of both tickets is equal or greater than $15 per ticket, the difference in price will be credited to your Sydney Symphony account. Where the difference is less than $15 per ticket no credit will be issued.
12. After your exchange request is processed by us, the tickets to the original performance (the performance you exchanged out of) are made invalid. You are responsible for discarding these tickets. In the case you accidentally attempt to attend with invalid tickets, you will be denied entrance. You can purchase tickets at the venue Box Office or at the door (subject to availability) in the event you would still like to attend.
13. Premiums such as drinks, merchandise and other inclusions cannot be transferred.
14. Any credits placed on your account, as a result of you using this service cannot be redeemed for cash under any circumstances.
15. Downgrade credit must be used within the 2025 Season and is inaccessible after 31 December 2025.

Fair Use

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to restrict access to this service for a customer where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra believe the service is:

• being used for the purposes of arbitrage;
• being used to avoid paying the originally advertised cost of the resulting season pack;
• being used contrary to the way that the Sydney Symphony intended the service to be used;
• being used in an unacceptable way or in a way that a reasonable person would not consider ordinary; and/or
• being used for business purposes.

Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice

If you are unable to attend and event for reasons including, without limitation, your illness, the illness of any person accompanying you, or other person you need to care for, transport failure or delay, or where you choose not to attend the event for which you have purchased a ticket, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is under no legal requirement to provide you with an exchange or refund.

Learning & Engagement ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to the full Terms and Conditions located here.

By proceeding with this purchase, you consent to these Terms and Conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person you consent on the behalf of that person as their agent.

In addition to the standard ticket Terms & Conditions of sale, the following terms also apply to Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Learning & Engagement bookings:

1. 20% deposit (non-refundable) must be paid within 30 days of receipt of the invoice, and final payment is due 8 weeks prior to the first performance date.
2. Bookings made within 8 weeks of the performance must be paid, in full, within 5 working days of the issued invoice date. If payment is not received within 5 working days of the issued invoice date, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to release the booking.
3. Changes to Learning & Engagement bookings can be made up to 8 weeks prior to the first performance date by emailing schools@sydneysymphony.com or calling (02) 8215 4600. After this date, all invoices must be fully paid as issued.
4. Subject to availability, schools can increase the numbers of students and/or teachers booked up to 5 working days prior to the performance. Additional seats must be paid in full within 5 working days of the issue invoice date.
5. Accompanying Teacher tickets are limited to 1 complimentary ticket per 15 students. Any additional tickets for teachers/guardians will be available, complimentary or for purchase, at the discretion of the Learning & Engagement Team.
6. Teachers can exchange their group’s tickets when necessary, seats are subject to availability. Exchanges can only be processed once payment has been made in full and only available for nominated 2025 performances.
7. To exchange Learning & Engagement tickets contact must be made via the following channels:
   1. Email schools@sydneysymphony.com or
   2. Call (02) 8215 4600 no later than 5 working days before the performance of earliest date.
8. Prices may vary from performance to performance and any additional costs must be paid within 5 working days prior to the performance.

1. Discounted and/or complimentary tickets are only available to select Teachers Lounge members.
2. Teachers Lounge discounted and/or complimentary tickets are non-transferrable.
3. Teachers Lounge Member must attend.
4. Teachers Lounge discounted and/or complimentary tickets are limited to two (2) tickets for one performance date, per concert series. Subsequent tickets may be cancelled.
5. Teachers Lounge membership concert tickets may be varied or withdrawn at any time without notice.
6. Teachers Lounge discounted and/or complimentary tickets are subject to availability with a limited allocation available and only for select performances.
7. Teachers Lounge membership available for NSW and ACT Teachers only.
8. By joining the Teacher’s Lounge program, members are automatically signed in to receive our Learning and Engagement e-newsletter Tuned In for the term of their membership.

Mob Tickets for Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances are subject to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Terms and Conditions and to the requirements of the venue at which the performances are presented.

1. Mob Tickets are available for First Nations audience members in acknowledgment of the traditional custodians of these lands.
2. Mob Ticket discounts are only applicable to selected performances here.
3. Mob Ticket discounts are subject to availability.
4. Mob Ticket purchases are limited to 2 tickets per order.
5. Mob Ticket purchases are limited to A-C reserve.

Entry Method

To be entered, entrants must opt-in to the competition within the post-concert survey form sent to them by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and submit their responses.

Maximum Entries

Entrants will receive maximum one (1) entry each.

Entry Restrictions

Entry is not open to Sydney Symphony Orchestra employees or their immediate families.

Draw Details

One (1) computer-generated draw will be conducted as follows: Conducted one (1) week (7days) after the survey closes.
