Single ticket purchases to Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances or events are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
By proceeding with a purchase, you consent to these Terms and Conditions. If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of another person you consent on the behalf of that person as their agent.
- In order for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to process your ticket request, we collect, hold and use your personal information. If you do not provide us with the information we request, we may be unable to process your ticket request.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may also collect and use your personal information to provide you with information about concerts, activities and events which may be of interest to you or to request your support for the Orchestra. You may opt out of receiving our communications at any time by using the opt out provided in each communication, or by contacting us on (02) 8215 4600 or at privacy@sydneysymphony.com.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may disclose your personal information to third parties such as venue managers, ticketing agencies, mailing houses, financial institutions, insurers, IT & other service providers, business partners, government & other related authorities. The third parties to which we disclose personal information may have their facilities located in other countries.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra Privacy Policy describes how you can access your personal information or lodge a complaint about privacy. Please read our Privacy Policy.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and its venue manager reserve the right of admission.
- A booking fee may be applicable to transactions.
- All sales are non-refundable except in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling as iterated in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice for Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. Ticket exchanges are available for most Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances, up to 48 hours before your performance date.
- Professional cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the venue. Mobile phones, pagers and similar equipment must be turned to silent before entry into the venue's auditorium.
- Tickets are valid only when purchased from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra or an authorised agent.
- Lost or forgotten tickets will only be replaced where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is satisfied that such tickets have been purchased by you in accordance with these terms and conditions, and where proof of purchase is available.
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programs, artists, venue, and seating arrangements.
- Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra performances may be unsuitable for children under Twelve (12) years of age.
- Children aged 0-23 months at the time of a performance may be seated on a parent’s lap free of charge. All children occupying a seat, or aged 2 years must hold a valid ticket.
- Patrons, including children, who disrupt a performance may be asked to leave the venue.
- Patrons arriving late will not be able to be admitted into the venue's auditorium until there is a suitable break in the performance.
- Sydney Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to record, broadcast and simulcast any performance.
- If you are photographed, filmed or taped whilst attending a Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance, you consent to Sydney Symphony Orchestra or third parties appointed by Sydney Symphony Orchestra photographing, filming and taping you. Sydney Symphony Orchestra or third parties appointed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use.
- The layout of Sydney Symphony Orchestra venues may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any person accompanying you.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not liable to you for any claims, damages, compensation, losses or expenses as a result of a Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance being cancelled, postponed or changed.
- To the extent permitted by the law, you release the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your attendance at a venue, how so ever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
- You agree to compensate the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for any damage, loss, liability or injury the Sydney Symphony Orchestra may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at a venue.
- You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own property during attendance at a Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert or event.
- From time to time, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra may make offers in relation to services available to ticket holders. These offers are subject to change without notice. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is not responsible for the performance of third parties in relation to any offer or service.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra may choose not to enforce some or all of these Terms and Conditions, on a case by case basis. This does not mean that the Sydney Symphony Orchestra waives its right to enforce some or all of these Terms and Conditions as it sees fit. If any of these Terms and Conditions cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will survive.
- Under 35 tickets are available to people aged 35 years or under on 1 January 2025. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Under 35 tickets are available in B-C Reserve seating areas only.
- Concession tickets are available to current holders of means-tested Australian pensions (Aged, Disability, Veterans' Affairs, Supporting Parent) and to Australian full-time students. Proof of concession eligibility must be supplied when booking and may be required before admission to each concert. Tickets will not be posted until such proof is supplied. Discount is applicable in A-C reserves only.
- The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will continue to apply NSW Public Health Orders as they relate to ticketing and seating arrangements.
