Karl Knapp

Karl Knapp is a contemporary music producer, currently in the position of Senior Producer, Artistic Planning at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra where he oversees contemporary and commercial music programming, including contemporary artist collaborations, live-in-concert film programs, and new music programs.
Karl was born and raised in Canberra and completed his studies at the Australian National University before moving to Melbourne to begin his career in Arts Administration and production. He has previously worked in a variety of roles at Arts Centre Melbourne, Opera Australia, The Australian World Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria. Karl has also been a regular contributor to 3RRR Radio and enjoys curating new music selections for their weekly Soundscape publication.
